To know how and why HDHMR’s popularity is rising, listen to the talk between Action Tesa’s Mr. Avdhesh Jain, GM, Marketing & Projects, Action TESA and BMR’s Sandeep Lathwal.

Building Material Reporter here reveals the best material for interior designing and doors. This board is HDHMR. This is a moisture and termite resistant board which is made out of wooden chips and strong adhesive. Whether it's the kitchen’s woodwork or bathroom doors, HDHMR is the best solution. They are more compatible in comparison with plywood and any kind of finish can be done easily- whether laminate or paint.

The demand for HDHMR in furniture designs for homes is increasing because of its durability and aesthetics. Many of them say that there are a lot of chemicals used while making HDHMR, but it’s not the same. The need for HDHMR in the European subcontinent has increased and also in India.

Talking about HDHMR, Action Tesa is at the forefront which still stays a pioneer in the market. The brand started the journey around 11 years ago and over the years with its core R & D team they have launched a variety of ranges.

There are a lot of items which are required for making the house and in search people keep onmoving from one place to another. There are a lot of things to be considered like variety, quantity or quality. Action TESA understood this issue and came out with a range that can suit all the requirements of the interior design. As the demand increased, MDF itself couldn’t fulfill the needs. So, there was a need to enhance the range.

When comparing the Italian Kitchen market with Indian, there came an urge to bring glossy and sustainability in the market here as well. Gradually, the brand came up with UV panels and

acrylic panels and for the interior structure, there came a requirement to bring up boiling waterproof ply. But this was soon replaced by HDHMR. This has become a need for every kitchen.

Considering the seepage in kitchens and walls, the brand came up with moisture resistant boards. For moisture resistant boards, the major problem was the stiffness. So for this the brand came up with high density boards. Another range which Mr. Jain spoke about the pre laminated range of boards which allows not to go for lamination again. This board has speeden up the process of furniture designing.

With the increasing demand of boards in the market, the supply has become relatively less. The reason behind this is that initially Action TESA had developed this board for specific areas only. But gradually the applications became versatile and the demand increased. Amongst all the plants, one plant is dedicated only for the production of HDHMR. Compared to last year’s approach, the demand this year has increased to 250%. The brand is trying its best to satisfy all the needs.
