Prime Minister Narendra Modi opened the Swarved Mahamandir on Monday in Umaraha, Varanasi. Following an extensive review of the temple complex, the Prime Minister paid reveres to the statue of Maharishi Sadafal Dev Ji Maharaj.
Following the inauguration, Prime Minister Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took a tour of this space built for 20,000 people to meditate at once. Swarved Mahamandir is built across seven floors.
PM Modi took part in the centenary celebration of Vihangam Yoga while he was at the temple. PM has been to the location twice; his first visit was in December 2021.
The annual gathering of Vihangam Yog commemorates the establishment of Vihangam Yog Sansthan one hundred years ago by Sadguru Sadafal Deoji Maharaj, a mystic poet, seer, and spiritual guide from the 19th century. The Mahamandir has the idol of the venerated seer.
In his speech, Prime Minister Modi discussed the significance of his trip to Kashi and said that every second he spent in the holy city was filled with first-time experiences. In honor of Akhil Bhartiya Vihangam Yog Sansthan's centenary celebrations, PM Modi conveyed his appreciation for being a part of this momentous occasion.
The Architecture: The remarkable 20,000 seating in the seven-story temple, which occupies 3,00,000 square feet, is part of its exquisite 125-petal lotus dome design. Situated about 12 km from Varanasi city center, in the Umaraha area, this temple which is an amalgamation of spirituality and modern architecture, features 3,137 Swarved verses engraved on its Makarana marble. The walls of the temple are decorated with pink sandstone, but it also has a beautiful garden with healing herbs. The architecture of Swarved Mahamandir includes 101 fountains, intricately carved doors, and teakwood ceilings.
Commencing in 2004, the construction of the temple required the combined efforts of 600 workers and 15 engineers.
The founder of Vihangam Yoga, Sadafal Deoji Maharaj, wrote the Swarveda, a scripture that Swarved Mahamandir is dedicated to, according to the temple's website. "The Mahamandir is to illuminate humankind with its magnificent spiritual aura and engulf the world in a state of peaceful alertness." a website stated.
