The Noida-Greater Noida-Yamuna Expressway area has seen a transformation as a result of the Jewar Airport's construction, becoming a thriving tech hub. Data centers, telecom behemoths, and top IT firms are making significant investments in the region. Prominent companies such as Dixon, Samsung, NTT, and Microsoft are growing their operations due to the airport's potential and its well-maintained airport infrastructure.
With the potential for a wide range of sector growth, including high-tech manufacturing and finance hubs, the region is expected to compete with well-established tech cities. In the upcoming years, real estate consultants anticipate a significant expansion of IT parks.
India is doing significantly great in terms of airport infrastructural development, which we can evidently see in the upgraded airport coming up in the city . This new airport coming up in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh, is envisioned by the central and state governments as being the biggest airport in India. The Noida airport is being constructed by Zurich Airport International in Switzerland, and it is expected to open for operations by the end of 2024.
The Noida International Airport is expected to be the biggest airport infrastructure development in India when it is finished. With a single runway and a passenger terminal building, the Jewar airport will first open with a capacity of 12 million passengers annually. The ultimate goal is to increase airport infrastructure capacity to 70 million passengers annually.
The Noida International Airport, which is currently under construction, will have a lot of opulent features. The cutting-edge building will be connected via multiple modes, including the metro. A shopping center and a 220-room luxury hotel are being constructed close to the airport.
Roseate Hotels and Resorts has reportedly been selected to build the airport. The business was chosen through a competitive bidding procedure. September 30, 2024 is the estimated date of the airport's first flight.
Additionally, a metro line from the Jewar airport to the Knowledge Park metro station in Greater Noida is planned by the authorities. After that, a line from Knowledge Park to the New Delhi Railway Station will be built. One can switch to the metro for Delhi's IGI Airport from this line.
The Yamuna Expressway is close to where the airport is being built. Four partners are involved in the construction of the airport infrastructure: the Yamuna Expressway Authority, the Uttar Pradesh government, the Greater Noida Authority, and the Noida Authority.
