Glamora: Wall Coverings Inspired by Art for Hotel De Schelde

Quiet Luxury is a new dimension for hospitality. Within this framework, the renaissance project of Hotel De Schelde, recently redesigned by Studio Hugo, fits perfectly. Glamora creates wallcovering inspired by art, design and nature, made from sustainable materials of the highest quality.

Dutch Region of Zeeland

In the picturesque Dutch region of Zeeland, the coastal resort of Cadzand has undergone a major transformation over the years. From a quiet seaside resort, it has become a sophisticated destination, earning the nickname 'North Sea Monaco'.

With a spectacular view of the sea, the harbour and the lively canal activities, the four-star superior hotel interprets a quiet interior luxury concept, emphasising an exclusivity made up of simple but authentic attention.

Design Notion

The design concept is revealed right from the lobby, where the Quiet Place wallcovering, located behind the reception desk, not only expands the space but is framed like a work of art on display. This element harmonises perfectly with the surrounding minimalist floor and furniture, accompanying guests into an exclusive yet domestic dimension.

Thanks to a soft colour palette, one is enveloped in an immediate feeling of familiarity, where fresh sea breezes blend with a warm welcome.

Bespoke Interiors

The rooms are embellished with selected details: soft fabrics, refined wallcoverings, wood essences and refined marble, which lend the interior an atmosphere of quiet elegance. Even in the rooms, the chosen wallcoverings were enhanced like large canvases, offering not only a decorative accent but also practicality and durability, essential features in a high-traffic contract environment.

Acoustic well-being of The Room

For the breakfast room, Penombra wallcovering was chosen on AcousticShield, Glamora's sound-absorbing two-layer system designed to reduce sound reverberation and improve the acoustic well-being of the room. The blue tones of the subject invite relaxation and complement the neutral palette of the hotel, reflecting the external colour nuances of the sky meeting the expanse of the sea.
