Aluminum as a building material, is bringing a revolutionary change in the architectural plethora. Keeping up with the standards, a leading company in the design, production, and distribution of aluminum architectural systems- Alumil has a global presence in more than 60 countries. The brand ensures exceptional quality, innovative features, and advanced construction technology in aluminum systems. The systems that they develop are the core result of the production process that is based on values of sustainability and green design along with a circular economy. Here’s a short conversation with Mr. Theodoros Axouristos, Managing Director of Alumil, spilling major insights about the brand.

How has the journey been till date- Since the company stepped in India and how it has been?

Alumil started its operation in Greece more than 30 years ago. During these years, it has spread its rights in almost the North continent. The last one they made was in India, almost 9 years before because India is a growing market and there are a lot of possibilities. There is a lot of demand for high-technology products.

What are the different products that you are providing and what makes you exceptional?

Alumil has a vast range of products- almost everything that has to do with aluminum and building either indoors or outdoors. A big competitive advantage compared to the competition is that we have our private factory- more than 12 factories in 6 countries. That means we produce everything in-house. And we can trace the production parameters from the beginning up to the end.

India is a big market where we talk about skyscrapers and even bungalows. Where do you focus more?

Alumil’s vast range can cover all the necessities. We have kept different divisions that can deal with bungalows and different divisions that can deal with skyscrapers in building construction. We have kept the products to fit all these demands. Indian people give very great importance to their homes. Now they have started realizing that windows are a very important part of their homes and they have to do with safety, ergonomics, and safety. So, there is a growth of work to be done. We are expanding continuously. Our target for the next few years is to expand to all Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities in the construction landscape. And also Mr. Milonas, the owner of Alumil is looking to invest in India, helping the Make in India project that is going on.

Apart from doors and windows, what are the other verticals you have?

We have a very big range that offers sliding windows and doors technology, hinged windows and doors, railing systems, facade systems, bi-folding door systems, atriums, rolling shutters, decking systems, fencing and gates, and pergola systems. So our range can cover everything that the house needs.

What is the USP of Alumil?

There are three points I need to mention. The first one is we have a very big guarantee team that delivers the most innovative products worldwide. Second, we have our factories which means we produce everything in-house and we have full control of everything- production parameters in every stage. The third one is that we at Alumil Academy, is in collaboration with two universities and we provide training for fabrication and also for publication and installation.

Are the products pocket-friendly to the Indian market?

There are three tiers of products. We have the comfort tier which is the budgeted and affordable one. We have the smart tier which is the best value for money and we have the supreme tier- a family of products that are the highest specification products worldwide.

Let’s move to the Kukreja Infinity Project. What kind of materials have been used when we talk about Alumil’s presence in that project?

We have used different categories of products- comfort and smart ones. Kukreja Infinity is one of their renowned projects in Nagpur. It was our first project there. I believe the builders and owners are very happy. Now we are looking forward to our next projects in Nagpur.

How many projects have you done till now?

In India, we have completed more than 500 projects in many cities for example 25 South in Mumbai, Azure The Oceanic in Chennai, Neptune Aspire in Vadodara, Happy Excelencia in Surat, Panchshil Tower in Pune, Jayabheri in Hyderabad, W Resort in Goa and Crescent Bay in Mumbai. These are only a few of the 500 projects that we have completed up till now.

How and where do you see Alumil as an emerging brand in the Indian market?

Alumil India is poised to emerge as the leading brand in the rapidly growing Indian market. By leveraging our strong focus on innovation, quality, and customer-centric solutions. We see significant opportunities in key metropolitan areas and emerging urban centers across India. Our advanced aluminum architectural systems known for their durability cater to the evolving needs of the Indian construction industry. Our strategic partnerships with local fabricators and establishment of exclusive showrooms such as our recent launch in Nagpur preceded by the Coimbatore showroom.

What is your message to the audience?

Having in mind the big importance of family for the Indian people, I would like to tell them that when they choose windows for their home they have to think that they need to take some windows that are chosen for their quality,  their durability, and their safety and their lack of maintenance. So they have to be very careful. It's an investment that will follow them for the rest of their lives.
